During the design stage we’ll discuss the most suitable presentation for your diorama, taking into account its size, style and intended use.

Glass Bell Domes

A glass bell dome creates a timeless, museum-style display while protecting the miniature from dust. It’s an excellent choice for smaller landscapes, woodland scenes, coastal dioramas and sentimental gifts, allowing the viewer to appreciate the scene from every angle.

Wooden Plinths

A handcrafted wooden plinth provides a traditional, elegant base that enhances the miniature without distracting from it. This option works particularly well for larger landscapes and display pieces intended to sit on a desk, shelf or mantelpiece.

Shadow Boxes

For scenes designed to be viewed from the front, a shadow box transforms the diorama into a piece of miniature wall art. Every commission is individually quoted because every project is different. As a guide, personalised nature and place dioramas typically start from around £150, with larger or more detailed scenes individually priced. Most take around 4–6 weeks, depending on complexity and current workshop workload, and secure UK delivery is available.

Can you copy a photograph exactly?

Rather than producing an exact scale copy, my aim is to capture the character and atmosphere of the place while creating a miniature that feels natural and believable.

How long does a commission take?

Most personalised nature diorama commissions take between four and six weeks, depending on complexity and the current workshop schedule. If you have a specific date in mind, please mention it when you enquire.

What if it's a surprise gift?

Many commissions are created as surprise birthday, anniversary or retirement presents, and I'm happy to help keep the project discreet.

Do you ship outside the UK?

I primarily deliver throughout the UK, although international delivery can be arranged depending on the destination. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

How large are they?

My creations usually range from around 5cm to 20cm, although I'm happy to make the size required.

How are they presented?

Your diorama can come how you want, most commonly this is in a display case or bell jar suitable for positioning on a shelf or desk to keep it dust free and safe. Other options are available as required.
